Over 25 years ago, when philanthropist and entrepreneur Hrant Vardanyan founded Grand Tobacco JV CO LTD, he had two main missions: to save the Armenian tobacco cultivation and cigarette production during the collapse of the Soviet Union and to provide work opportunities to thousands of people, as Armenia suffered with high levels of unemployment in the Post-Soviet era.
As a result, Grand Tobacco’s rapid growth and expansion became a driving force and inspiration for many industrial productions to develop in Armenia.
Today, Grand Tobacco, together with its sister companies IMT and MT, proudly stands as the market leader in cigarette production in Armenia with a team of more than 3600 employees.
Our next 10 years will be dedicated to the production of premium-class cigarettes, reducing tobacco harm as much as possible. We invest vast resources in experiments aimed at the development of harm reduction solutions, which we achieve with the help of new innovative filters. Our mission to reduce tobacco harm continues to be at the core of our business. Our consumer’s satisfaction remains at our top priority, as we continuously challenge ourselves to innovate, experiment and strive for excellence in all our endeavours.
So never standing still, we always innovate , experiment and strive for excellence in whatever we do.
